Limited travel support is available for attendees who would otherwise be unable to attend GHMS 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
Details: Eligible attendees may receive support for the following travel expenses, up to a max of $3,500 USD:
- Flight: Economy-class airfare to/from Barcelona
- Hotel: The conference venue, Le Méridien Barcelona, has a negotiated nightly rate of €205 plus VAT for GHMS participants. The discounted rate is available until January 15, 2024. After this date, reservations with the group rate will be on request (based on room availability). You may also choose to make your own hotel arrangements.
- Other expenses: Transportation to and from the airport (via taxi, rideshare, shuttle, bus, or public transit); meals not provided through the conference.
- Visa fees to Spain. Please email us at ghms@linksbridge.com to request a visa support letter.
No other expenses, such as per diems, will be covered.
Eligibility: Must be a resident of a low-income (LIC), low-middle income (LMIC), or upper-middle income (UMIC) country, as defined by the World Bank.
Process:
- Fill out the following form to be considered for travel support: GHMS travel support application
- After you receive an approval email, please book your travel to the conference and save copies of receipts. We are unable to book flights or lodging directly for attendees.
- Following the conference, you will be emailed a form to submit eligible receipts for reimbursement, up to $3,500 USD.
