What is GHMS?

The Global Health Market Shaping (GHMS) conference is a forum that brings together market shaping professionals to connect and learn across markets, disease areas, and product categories. The goal of the conference is to promote connection and learning across the market shaping ecosystem by bringing together market shaping donors, core partners, and other professionals in vaccines drugs, diagnostics, and devices.

GHMS is part of the larger Market Ecosystem Thought Leadership (META) initiative that aims to strengthen, organize, and develop the community of practice for market shaping. The global health market shaping field has evolved tremendously over the last decade, leading to incredible impacts but also decreased connection, learning, and coordination across a siloed ecosystem. With funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Linksbridge has led this initiative—in collaboration with a number of key partners—to build shared foundations, catalyze connection, and accelerate innovation across the field. META’s work has been diligently guided and championed by its Advisory Council and Market Shaping Network, which include tenured market shaping experts and emerging leaders. META has had four main outputs:

1. Market Shaping Lookback: A 10-year review outlining the evolution of the global health market shaping field
2. Foundations of Market Shaping: A synthesis of the best practices, approaches, and fundamental principles for effective market shaping from across the field
3. Global Health Market Shaping Conference: A forum that brings together market shaping professionals to connect and learn across markets, disease areas, and product categories
4. Market Shaping University: Early exploration of the value of developing a university-type program on practical market shaping concepts and skills. Future efforts would focus on implementation partner selection, design, and execution.
